Group E Prompt
I think that no matter what, that drive to go out into the wild was because of their love for the wild, not due to their family problems. It may have been a secondary objective, to escape from their families and be free for a while, but if you love something and you go and do that, it won't be because you hate your family. I love playing video games, and i play them yet i love my family. People go see concerts because they love that band, and they dont go necessarily because they need to escape from their family. Its because thats is what they want to do.

Good point I like the examples. No doubt their passion for the wild was the main reason why they left their previous lives. They couldn't pursue this dream with their family. Though the distant connection with their relatives made it easier to forget about them, I agree that the main reason was their determination to live in the wild.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree it wasn't out of any disrespect for his family. Chris even died with dozens of writing, specifically by Thoreau that showed his love for the wild. When i left Boise however, it was partly because of me being fed up with my surroundings. So perhaps it was a bit of both that made him leave.
